God Knows Us By Name
Geraldine’s Gems was inspired by the relationship I have with my grandmother, Geraldine—a woman whose care, creativity, resilience, and quiet authority shaped how I understand love, womanhood, and responsibility. She affectionately named me "Baby Gem" and it isn't until after her physical death that I realize she was referring to me as a "Jewel", the name her big brother Grady would affectionately call her. ​​​Like legacy, this work unfolds one name, one creation, one gem at a time.
